Fred W. Davis, born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a 1980 graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where he received his B.A. in Political Science, cum laude. Mr. Davis received his Juris Doctorate in 1983 from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been commissioned as a Notary Public in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana and has practiced law in Lafayette, Louisiana for over twenty seven years, primarily handling transactional matters in the areas of real estate closings, property law, successions and estate, as well as advising businesses. He is also “Of Counsel” with the law firm of Rabalais, Hanna and Hebert in Lafayette.

Mr. Davis has taught legal subjects at the university level for most of his career. He has recently been appointed Instructor in Business Law in the Department of Marketing and Hospitality at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, where he also teaches Notary Public and Hospitality Law. He has also taught notary at LSU-Alexandria. Mr. Davis was appointed by the Secretary of State to serve on the Senate sub-committee for Notary Education in the fall of 2008. Mr. Davis is the owner of Pass My Notary, LLC, the publisher of products sold on this website, and also presents the Critical Knowledge Seminar.
